Executive Assistant

Position Overview

The Digital Organizer is currently seeking a high level, experienced and all around awesome Executive Assistant. He/she will work to provide top quality administrative support to the founder of The Digital Organizer, Shawn Lemon.

The position is a part-time contractor position, and it is a work from home, virtual position. However, ideally, this person lives close to Franklin, TN where Shawn lives to help provide local support as needed for running errands or attending meetings. Shawn’s workday starts typically at 9 am and ends at 5 pm CST, Monday-Friday, but The Executive Assistant hours are somewhat flexible, as this position is more about accomplishing certain tasks and objectives with a high level of responsiveness than adhering to a set clock in/clock out time.


While repetitive tasks can certainly be part of what you will do, the tasks assigned can vary from week to week based on Shawn’s needs. The Executive Assistant needs to be someone who is flexible and willing to handle a variety of projects. The following tasks are a sampling of what is typically required on a regular basis:

  • Email Management

  • Complex Calendar Management and Scheduling

  • Newsletter Content Research, Copywriting, and Publishing

  • Project Management

  • Client Relations

  • Social Media Management

  • Blog Management

  • Research

  • Varying Personal and Professional Tasks Requested by Shawn

    • Blog management

Skills and Abilities

  • Communication: The EA must be an excellent communicator, in both written and oral form. This includes proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Organization: Our EA needs to be highly organized and detail-oriented.

  • Discretion: Since our EA will occasionally be working with high-profile individuals, discretion and sensitivity regarding confidential information is a must.

  • Anticipate Needs: As a part of our commitment to excellence, we always strive to anticipate and serve needs in advance whenever possible. The right EA will have the foresight and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise.

  • Technologically Proficient: Since we are an Apple consulting business, it is paramount that we find someone who is an Apple computer and software user. While experience with some or all of the technology platforms that we use is ideal, including MailChimp, Fantastical, Squarespace, Spark, Slack, Google Drive, etc., we are willing to train the right candidate. However, the ability to embrace and learn new technology quickly is an absolute must.
